Another suggestion: make logos for the regulars. Unless they object, you can describe them.
[As far as I know the logos(avatars) are done by WordPress. If you create a WordPress account you can choose any avatar you like for yourself. The patterns you may be seeing instead of the default grey-silhouette are some new thing WordPress is doing -JR]
